What it is
Part kite, part paraglider

A parakite is a small, fast wing flown from a paragliding harness. In a good sea breeze you can hover, lift off the sand, skim along the dunes and set down again whenever you like.
It uses the same skills as paragliding (inflating, steering and controlling the wing) but close to the ground and in stronger wind. Many pilots use it to sharpen their handling, and many beginners use it as a first step before a full course.
Courses
How you learn
Parakite has its own syllabus, separate from paragliding.
Intro course
For complete beginners. Safety, setting up the wing, ground handling, and your first controlled lifts in the breeze.
Progression
Longer hops, turns and landings on target. We'll build a plan around your skill and the time you have.
Questions
About parakiting
Do I need paragliding experience?
No. The intro course starts from zero.
What wind does it need?
A steady, moderate breeze. We schedule sessions around the forecast and confirm the day before.
Does it help with paragliding?
Yes. Wing control on the ground is the core skill of both, and parakiting gives you hours of it quickly.
